Neoclassical-style wayside shrine that apparently, we owe to the ingenuity of Manuel González, the master stonemason -disciple of Cerviño- who also worked on the extraordinary Calvary located in the churchyard of the parish church. The central aedicula, that is larger, houses an image of the Virgin of Carmen and a group of seven souls, in polychrome stone. A sundial -which marks the time from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m- crowns the left part of the semicircular pediment that finishes it in height. The two aedicule that flank the central one are the result of a later reform promoted by Aniceto Justo Rodríguez in 1988, on the centenary of the erection of the original piece. Before its construction, formally in its place were two little baskets made of cement in which the devotees deposited offerings in the form of potatoes or corn for which later it was auctioned at the door of the church to, then, dedicate to masses for the deceased. The three aedicule are crowned by three crosses without figuration, the central one with a circular section and the laterals with a square cut. It incorporates two legends:

MADE FOR DEVOTION OF JOSE MARIA GARRIDO IN THE YEAR 1888.

WHAT HAPPENED HERE / THAT CAUSES HORROR /
BEWARE IF YOU ARE CONDEMNED / MUCH/ WORSE

Inside the central pocket, a scene from Purgatory, with young souls in pain (all of them naked men, including a religious man) pleading in flames. Above them is an image of the Virgin of Carme with the child in her lap on one arm; in the other a scapular that serves to save the souls of her devotees.
